Dear Friends of Parish Health Ministry,
Thank you all for your prayers and support for the 2019 Refresh Your Soul Conference (RYS) held on March 18th at the Cintas Center at Xavier University. We are thrilled to report that we sold out again this year with over 650 people and raised approximately $75,000 for the ministry!  Evaluations were positive overall with many thoughtful comments and suggestions.

Soapbox Media did a wonderful, feature story on the conference and our keynote speaker, Kathryn Spink. We thought you might like to read it as well as see some of the pictures and a video clip of Leah Sarris during her talk on Food as Medicine. We are working on videos of the presentations from all the RYS speakers including Rabbi Abie Ingber, Kathryn Spink, Kay Frances and Leah Sarris. Watch for updates in future newsletters about possible RYS 2019 Video Encore Events.

Laughter – It’s Contagious!
The sound of laughter is far more contagious than any cough, sniffle or sneeze. Why does laughter make us feel so good? Laughter is a powerful antidote. Nothing works faster to bring our minds and bodies back into balance than a good, hearty laugh! Journeying through Grief
During the first few weeks following the death of a loved one, a person often receives a great deal of care and attention. Unfortunately, as time passes, people reach out less and less to the person who has experienced the loss. As the reality and depth of grief begins to sink in, the grieving person may feel a lack of support and may even feel alone in their grief.  Journeying through Grief provides congregations, individuals, and other organizations a simple, meaningful way to reach out to those grieving following the death of a loved one. Click here to read more about the Journeying through Grief program.
